I will forever remember May 2021 as the month I joined Tiktok and the month that changed my life forever.

For months before May 2021, teach trans voice alteration lessons had been my bread and butter. Very quickly, the vast majority of my private students stopped being singing students and started being trans voice students. Because of this, I decided on a whim that maybe it would be a good idea to give Tiktok a try since that's where all the young trans folks hang out.

So I made a quick, off-the-cuff Tiktok about gender roles and the voice, captioned it, and uploaded it without too much thought. Within 48 hours, that video had a hundred thousand views and my humble little Tiktok account had amassed over ten thousand followers. By the end of the month, that number had doubled!!

As you can probably guess, I was totally overwhelmed with private lesson requests and had to close my books and set up a waiting list. Then that list quickly reached maximum capacity and I realized that I would never be able to teach all these people within a reasonable time.

So, I'm very excited to share that what I've decided to do is actually take a brief hiatus from private teaching and dedicate time to the creation of an online course called Trans Vocal Exploration! This will be a pre-filmed version of the workshop I've been giving all year and I think it will help a huge number of people much quicker than I could as a private teacher.

I'm so excited to take this next step in my life and business!!
