Empowering Trans Voices: My Interview on Queerpreneurs Unleashed

Queerpreneurs Unleashed

Recently, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dustyn Baulkham for an episode of Queerpreneurs Unleashed, where we had a deep and meaningful conversation about gender-affirming voice work, my journey as a trans voice teacher, and the impact of finding and embracing one's authentic voice. It was a fantastic opportunity to share my thoughts on voice training, gender euphoria, and the importance of accessible resources for trans individuals navigating their vocal journeys.

In the interview, I talked about my own experiences with voice and identity, how I came to this work, and the ways in which I help trans and nonbinary people feel more at home in their voices. We explored the challenges that come with voice dysphoria, the fears many people have when starting their voice training journey, and the transformative power of developing a voice that aligns with one’s identity.

One of the key takeaways from our discussion was that voice training isn’t about conforming to external expectations—it’s about self-expression, confidence, and joy. So many people think of voice as something fixed or limited, but in reality, it’s an incredible instrument that can be shaped and explored. Whether someone wants a deeper or brighter resonance, more vocal endurance, or simply a voice that feels more like theirs, the journey is entirely personal, and I love helping people navigate it.

Another topic we covered was accessibility in voice training. Not everyone has the means to afford private coaching, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve built online courses and resources that empower people to learn at their own pace. Creating accessible, high-quality materials has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I’m always thinking about new ways to support the community.

If you're curious about voice training, or if you want to hear more about my approach and philosophy, I’d love for you to check out the interview. You can watch the full episode here:

I’m always excited to continue these conversations and connect with more people who are on their own vocal journeys. If you have any thoughts, questions, or experiences you’d like to share, reach out to me—I’d love to hear from you!
