I'm taking a private teaching hiatus

Seriously, where do I even start with this past month?

On May 5th, I posted my very first TikTok about a funny thing I noticed in my work as a trans voice teacher. In the weeks that have followed, I’ve double my newsletter subscribers, gained twenty thousand followers on TikTok and currently have a list of eighty people waiting for private lessons! It’s so intense!!

It became very clear, very quickly that there is no way I’ll be able to teach everyone in a reasonable time. The last thing I want is for my services to be another thing that trans people have to wait years for, especially considering how long this work can take.

With all this in mind, I’ve made the decision to take a short hiatus from private teaching so that I can create an online course version of my Trans Vocal Exploration workshop. This course will be entirely pre-filmed so that students can learn at their own pace and will include everything I’ve learned from teaching dozens of trans workshops and hundreds of trans students!

This is the most ambitious project I’ve ever taken on in my life as a teacher and honestly, I have no idea how long it’s going to take. My goal is to have the course out there and available by August 1st, 2021 - but anything could happen!

Since I won’t be teaching any private lessons at all for the next six or so weeks, I would really appreciate some support over on my Patreon. I’m self-funding this course so every little bit helps!

I am, however, still doing a few workshops throughout June so if you have some burning voice questions, you can consider those events my “office hours”. It’s free to participate and available in both English and French. All the details are below!
